Our organic wines and extra virgin olive oils have been awarded first prize in *Sabores de la Janda*, organized by the Association of Municipalities of the Region, in the category of “Best Organic Product.” Ramón Iglesias, from the Sancha Pérez Winery and Olive Mill, received the award from the President of the Mancomunidad de la Janda, Mari Santos Sevillano, at the ceremony held yesterday in Conil de la Frontera.

In addition to the commitment to organic farming, the project was recognized for reviving a long-forgotten history of olive trees and vineyards that once played a vital role in the local economy, particularly the Tintilla grape—our native variety that was cultivated in our towns until the mid-19th century.
